Wellness-First Career Growth for Women of Color
A career growth coach helping high-achieving women of color build careers they’re proud of without burning out, working 24/7, or sacrificing their lives outside of work.
I’m Jess
For years, I did what so many of us were taught:
Work twice as hard. Keep your head down. Put career first—everything else second.
And eventually, it will all be worth it.
That mindset pushed me through college, grad school, and into a 15-year corporate career—10 of those years in high-pressure roles in healthcare consulting and business management. I checked every box that was supposed to make me feel successful.
But instead?
I was constantly anxious, exhausted, and silently drowning in overwork.
My days started with dread and ended with late-night emails. I was doing CrossFit five days a week, meal prepping, and deep breathing—and still feeling like I was barely holding it together.
Eventually, I broke.
I started therapy. I got on medication. I had to face the truth:
I wasn’t failing—I was just doing success someone else’s way.
And it was costing me my peace, my joy, and my health.
So I made a radical decision:
Wellness first. Career second.
(Not instead of. In support of.)
And that decision changed everything.
I started showing up differently—confident, calm, and clear on what I wanted.
I stopped overworking and overproving.
I got into a leadership development program at my dream company. I landed my first six-figure role. I kept growing in my career—without going back to burnout.
I built a coaching business. I made space for real rest, real relationships, and a life that finally felt like mine.
Now, I help other women of color do the same—on their terms.
You can be ambitious, high-achieving, and still protect your time, your energy, and your well-being.
What I help you do:
Set boundaries without guilt
Get visible and promoted—without playing corporate games
Create a work-life rhythm that includes space for you
Build confidence without burnout or overworking
